About the Event
The Green Sock Walk was created to help communities come together and spread awareness about black mental health. Since COVID-19 has impacted the nation, it is even more important to take care of our mental wellness by getting active. Join us for our Green Sock Walk #quarantinestyle to honor Mental Health Awareness Month this May. Our annual walk is typically held in October and due to uncertainty with restrictions, we moved the walk to May and remixed it.
Join us to keep our minds healthy with daily walks during Mental Health Awareness Month.
Our #QuarantineStyle Green Sock Walk will follow the CDC recommendations because we are pledging to walk alone.
- Pledge15 - I pledge to walk for 15 minutes daily.
- Pledge30- I pledge to walk for 30 minutes daily.
- Pledge60- I pledge to walk for 60 minutes daily.
The first 25 registrants will be gifted a Black Brain Campaign face mask that will be mailed.
